2,500 people attended the Northern Vegan Festival!
We are very pleased to announce that the first Northern Vegan Festival was a huge success. Around 2,500 people attended the one day festival in Sachas Hotel, Manchester on Saturday 13th April 2013.
Some of the highlights included:
*100 stalls full of exciting vegan products and information
*Manchester’s vegan poet Dominic Berry performed to a full crowd with standing room only
*Vegan celebrity Ms Cupcake sold out of cakes and gave a wonderful workshop on replacing eggs and dairy in baking
*A fun vegan speed meeting where people made new friends
We never anticipated that it would be so well attended resulting in a continuous queue winding around the building. We apologise to those who had to wait up to an hour to get in and to those who decided the wait was too long. Now that we know how popular it is, the next Northern Vegan Festival will be bigger and better in a more appropriate sized venue.
A massive thank you to all the stallholders, volunteers, speakers, entertainers, caterers and workshops and, of course, to everyone who attended. See you in 2014!
